Im really not sure what to buy, i have an 11-18 bow which is pretty good. The armour ive got is just basicly begginer armour, from 10 ingots and the armour guy in ascalon, but im not sure where i can get better armour. Is there anything else useful to buy?

Better armour will follow later in the game (DO NOT RUN!), you'll find uses for your money soon enough, for now save up. 1000 gold isn't enough for a good max damage weapon. The best armour in the game costs 1500 gold per piece and has about 250 materials you need.

Yep, Gonzo's right. I'll move this post when i've posted this:

Follow the storyline-do some quests, money adds up fast over time. I thought i'd never get the money for my 1.5k per piece armor(on average costs about 16k inc materials) ... but by the time I reached Droknars Forge (Place with the best armor available-statwise) I had about 20k cash, and I didn't sell any rares, the only things I sold was the items I got from quests, missions and exploring, and I sold them to the merchants.

well there are armour vendors in many locations through out the game along with weapon crafters, i am not going to tell you were they are because that would spoil it for u.
also btw just so you know 15-28 is max dmg for a bow don't let anyone scam you with a bow that does less.
and one last thing on a unrelated note,
ashleigh are u the only mod that doesn't have a silly title?
answers on a postcard pls.

for Armour, use the collectors until you get to Droknars - they are cheap and capable of keeping you alive...plus you'll save money as you won't be buying the armour each time you see new AL stats...

ok i can afford a good bow, that does better than my 11-18 damage, but they say things like requires 9 marksmanship, i have 8. Will it affect it greatly?

Yes, it will affect you so that you won't be doing maximum damage with the bow until you meet the requirement. Until then, it will do as much damage as the starter bow you got from the beginning of the game.
